Burial

Burials, known as interments within a local Cemetery are generally allowed for any person who wishes to be buried in such, however, this is at the approval of that who governs the cemetery. In most cases, a local cemetery is governed by the local parish council, however, they can also sometimes be an extension to a churchyard that has become full, in which case would be governed by the Church. Although, generally Cemetery burials are open to all, some cemeteries will charge extra for those who are not parishioners this varies from cemetery to cemetery, however, we will do our best to meet your needs and wishes.

A Churchyard Burial is available to any persons who are current parishioners of the local parish or those with long-standing family connections such as residing within the parish previously for a long duration or decent ancestry ties to the parish. All interments in a Churchyard are subject to space permitting and at the discretion of the Ministry of the Church in question. We would always advise anyone wishing to be buried in such a place to seek advice and guidance from the local Ministry however, we will always make this enquiry on your behalf should you require us to do so

Woodland Burials are an environmentally friendly option, they are normal privately owned pieces of land be it an individual or company where with every burial a tree is planted within the grave, providing beautiful scenery through all seasons and providing a nice and tranquil place to visit and remember our loved ones all year round. A woodland burial is a great way of providing natural life back into the environment following death and gives a feel of new life to those who have passed

All Burial sites have a set fee and differ between locations and type of burial, all interments are subject to the relevant permissions and payments being made however, here at Laws Family Funeral Services we do our utmost to do our best to provide all our clients with the services they desire and meeting your needs, where this is not possible we will work with you to find a suitable alternative.
